Guide to sync Outlook calendar to Google calendar
Step 1: Log in to your Outlook 2013/2016/2019 account.
Step 2: Then, you must open the calendar to be migrated to the Gmail calendar application.
Step 3: Next, click on the File tab and press Save Calendar.
Step 4: Enter a suitable name for the calendar file in the File Name box to synchronize the Outlook calendar entries with the desired Google Calendar account. In addition to this, select the desired route as well.
Step 5: Click on More Options … mentioned in the Save As window.
Step 6: After clicking on the button, you will get the three different options. Click the Date Range arrow to select the amount of data you want to include in the import calendar or iCalendar file. Users can also select the date range by selecting the Specify dates option.
Step 7: Click the Detail arrow to select the details you want to synchronize. Here, there are three options available; Full details, availability only, limited details.
Step 8: Click on the advanced option to mention the following details in the calendar.
Step 9: Click OK >> Save.
Tips and warnings
If you are using another program to sync Outlook calendar with Google calendar then you must uninstall it before installing Google Calendar Sync.
You can find help with common synchronization errors and known issues on the Google support website. You can also access the Google troubleshooting page by right-clicking on the Google Calendar Sync icon and selecting “Troubleshooting.”
When Google Calendar Sync is synchronized, up and down arrows will appear on the system tray icon. When it is not synchronized, the icon will appear as a small calendar with a date enclosed in red.
You can only synchronize pop-up reminders between Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.
If you want your synchronized events to be private, you must configure Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar events as private.
